In Botswana verbrachten wir unsere Tage im Okavanga-Delta. Der Okavanga
fließt
durch Angola und Namibia, um im Okavanga-Delta in Botswana zu enden. Der Okavanga ist die einzige Quelle für Wasser für ganz Botswana, und das Okavanga-Delta ist das größte Binnendelta der Welt mit schier unglaublichem Tierreichtum. Wegen dieser Vielfalt hat die UNO es zum Welt-Kulturerbe erklärt. Das Delta ist naturgemäß sehr fragil und leider massiv gefährdet durch Pläne von Angola und Namibia, ihm mit Hilfe von Pipelines Wasser zu entnehmen - näheres siehe hier
 In Botswana we spent
our time in the Okavanga delta. The Okavanga river comes from Angola and flows along the Namibian / Angolan border before entering Botswana, where it ends in the worldâ?™s biggest inland delta, one of the
World Heritage Sites with an incredible abundance of wildlife. The Okavanga river is Botswanaâ?™s only water supply and highly
